So many bold, made up claims without evidence. (Sorry, the Bible isn’t evidence, it’s literature in a specific cultural and historical context). Therefore, what they say can be dismissed without evidence. Also, other cultures completely separate from Christianity also had marriage, with different rules and expectations. The “objective truth” of Christianity is actually just a dogmatic belief, they don’t own the idea.

Not concerned that folk in sin get offended when they are faced with the gospel. GOD called Abram out from among his people which meant he had to LEAVE everything he knew behind. Changed what he did, walk by faith. He struggled, I believe, in the beginning as he threw his wife under the bus when they went to Egypt, but GOD worked that out too. The gospel of JESUS CHRIST IS A GOSPEL OF PEACE IN AND WITH GOD. Those who CHOOSE to live a lifestyle according to the lust of their flesh be they in the alphabet soup group or not will always be offended at the GOSPEL of CHRIST because that GOSPEL requires change.. change in attitude, change in direction, change in company etc. Jesus called HIS disciples to "follow him". They left all, not some, not most, not what they could carry, but ALL, i.e. occupations, family friends. John 3:1-5 applies to all Jew, Gentile, bond, free. No sugar coating it. The wages of sin is death. Yes. Jesus was called a friend to publicans and sinners, I get that, and folk LOVE to point that out, but forget HE came to call the sinners to repentance (everyone of us), HEsaid the healthy need not a physician but the sick. Once the gospel is given it is not to be tampered with to fit the emotion disjointedness of our flesh. It is to prick our hearts, drive us to the MASTER'S FEET for deliverance and healing. It is not a free for all because JESUS paid it all. If one doesn't believe that he/she can be delivered of that thing that binds them in sin, getting them will not help them. We cannot save anyone. Salvation is through CHRIST and CHRIST alone. Our mandate is to tell them all , and we are to walk by that faith, not make excuses.

I always wonder how Satan could have access to this world. If he couldnt manipulate thoughts or implant some doubts etc... He could not influence anything if he at least didnt have an ability like that. Unless it was from the start with the fall, that caused us to want to be like Gods, know good and evil, but with our limited brains there is no way we truly can. Which has led to much chaos, fighting and war on our planet.

Really great stuff here. I come from a foursquare (been christian only 3 years) I am in charge of leading our Yound Adult group. Apparently the whole foursquare thing was started by a woman! NT wright as an opposing view to these two, but somehow both sides seem logical and equally as believable to me. Please pray for me, I want to honor our elders but I also want our Young adults to be aware that the body of christ is not uniform on this issue.

Rosebrough has addressed and resolved every issue these two good men raised in the first 11 minutes of this video... SINCE 2008!!!! He called out James McDonald and Bill Hybels LONG before they fell, along with the ideology that enables the abuse in churches.

Why did they invite Jackie Perry Hill on the segment if Nancy thinks she hadn’t been married long enough to give a meaningful contribution? In a few minutes, she said _three_ times, “You haven’t been married very long…” as if to discredit her contribution. And so, what?! She can’t speak from a place of experience unless it’s the same as 23 years for Jen and 30 years for Nancy? Really? I found Nancy’s dismissive gesture arrogant and condescending. And yet, Jackie gave the best counsel of the three.

If the church would focus on being the hands and the feet of Christ in this world by helping the poor, the needy, the suffering, the orphan and the widow, then people would be able to see the truth of Christ, don’t them. Many who are deconstructing, are disappointed in their faith tradition, and their lack of the light of Christ within them.

Our U.S. Constitution guarantees freedom of religion, so you can worship or not worship any god you choose. But Our Constitution also honors God and proclaims Jesus as "our Lord" Article VII, and we are a Christian Nation.
